As part of its social responsibility initiative, Cisco Systems now drives 50 000 talented Mexican students in the development of Information Technology (IT) within the Cisco Networking Academy Program.
That amount places Mexico as the second country in the world whose students are trained by the technology, because since the implementation of the Cisco Networking Academy in this country for over ten years, 155 000 have graduated 991 students in the design and development of computer networks, Internet and IT.
Mexico also has become a benchmark for the implementation of the Networking Academy in Latin America, as Cisco uses the same practices created and tested in the country to implement the rest of the region.
"We are very proud of this milestone, since education is key to economic growth. Mexico is one of the most successful Networking Academy in the world, so in Latin America apply the best practices were developed and tested in Mexico, "said the president of Cisco Emerging Markets, Paul Mountford.
